I would like to welcome everyone to the site personally. In the redeveloping of the web site we have implemented a social media page, a discussion page, and also a classifieds page. Now we can build our utility community bigger and better than ever. The show-up will be a place where you can go to chat with a member, make a new friend and maybe even find an old crew member or employee. At the show-up (social media page) you can build your own profile, post your own pictures, and make private messages. Maybe you’re a tramp lineman that’s on the road a lot or maybe you’re a person that works a ton of hours at a utility, which we all know in this career. A ton of hours is taking it lightly. One of the most important things is being home with your family. At the show-up it can be one way to fill that gap, like posting pictures and stories showing your family what you do every day or maybe letting them know how your day is going. The show-up will be a great way to communicate.
At the bull pen, this will be a great place to add a story of a trouble call you might have had or you have a question about line work that needs an answer. There will be many more topics to cover when this ball gets rolling.
The classifieds page is the place to go if you’re looking for job, selling some tools, or wanting to buy a piece of equipment. I think this will be a great feature to the web site.
As for the page coming hot, this is where you will see all the new activity and news coming to the web site. Anywhere from a lineman story to an important safety topic.
At it’s in our blood.com we will make it our goal to make it as user friendly and exciting as we can. I would like to thank everyone who joins us to ride this line out.
